CJ HENDRY - BRONZED TROPHY SERIES


New York-based Australian artist, CJ Hendry is dipping again. After her famous work based on dipping a pair of Nike Air Mags in black paint, hand-drawing an image of it, and then auctioning the image or charity, CJ has now been playing with liquid bronze.

She's now dipped iconic items - including a headless Barbie, Beats headphones and a Hermes Birkin bag - plus assorted other pleasing shapes, such as a Coca Cola bottle and a balloon, in liquid bronze.

GWEN RESTAURANT & BUTCHER SHOP, HOLLYWOOD


We are seeing chandeliers, marble, brass, tiled floors and plush furniture in more places now than ever before. Art Deco is coming back. Again.

In LA, the new restaurant and butcher shop Gwen is following these trends, but they do have a legitimate reason to feature these elements. It is housed in a 1928 building on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood and has just the right vibe for the décor.

China's Maike Metals Group's MCEC Midwest Commodity Exchange Center is an impressive set of three towers connected at the base by a joint lobby.

The Commodity Center is located in the 44.6 square kilometer (4,460 hectare) International Trade & Logistics Park, in the city of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province that is best known for its Terracotta Army.

Green is in. In more ways than one. We are seeing more plants and greenery in designer homes, hotels, restaurants, offices and public spaces than ever before.

We are seeing them both inside and outside. It could be that the simple reason for this is that smoking is no longer allowed in public spaces in many countries and therefore plants can actually survive better indoors, but we doubt it.
